Matviyenko hopes Russia to have well-balanced budget in 2024

MOSCOW, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- There are reasons to believe that Russia will have a well-balanced budget in 2024, Chairwoman of Russia’s Federation Council, parliament’s upper house, Valentina Matviyenko said during a news conference on Tuesday.

“First of all, I want to say that the government has started designing the budget for the next three years early, and I see no serious threats or any dramatic events. There are all the reasons to say that the budget will be prepared as a well-balanced, aimed at development, and social one,” she said.

The government will fulfill all its social obligations to Russians, she also said.

Matviyenko said that Russia’s state debt is minimal as can be increased, while the businesses’ tax burden should not be raised.
